Medical Services

Children may be brought to the Center for a medical examination. Examinations are conducted in a child-friendly environment by board-certified pediatricians through collaboration with Dell Children’s Medical Center.

Physical Abuse Examination

A pediatrician specialized in assessing physical trauma conducts examinations of children where injuries may have resulted from physical abuse.

Sexual Abuse Examination

A pediatrician specialized in assessing sexual abuse conducts examinations of children that may have experienced a sexual assault.

SDFI Camera

The Secure Digital Forensic Imaging (SDFI) system makes the forensic medical exam minimally invasive for children and benefits the investigation process. The SDFI system includes a portable camera with a high resolution and the ability to zoom in 100 percent. This system also comes with encryption software that makes transferring digital files easy for law enforcement and case workers and keeps the content confidential and secure during transmission.
