January 19, 2008 - Mama Fu's Grand Opening at The Triangle
Mama Fu's held a grand opening celebration at their newest restaurant in The Triangle (4615 N. Lamar Ste. 307) from noon to 10 p.m. Half of the day's total sales benefited the Center along with purchases of Mama Fu's Panda Bears, which were available for $25. Activities for children started at noon with jugglers, balloon twisters, games/giveaways, and Chinese Dragon Team Dancers. Everyone enjoyed live music on the patio all day, and Lisa Hayes and Headliner Kelly Willis played starting at 6 p.m. The evening was topped off by a fireworks show. April 1-30, 2008 - McCormick & Schmick's Iced Tea Benefit
For the 5th year in a row, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant (401 Congress Ave) will help raise awareness about the tragedy of child abuse and neglect during Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month. During the month of April, 100% of all iced tea sales will benefit the Center for Child Protection.
April 5, 2008 - Kappa Delta Shamrock Event
University of Texas college students for the 13th year in a row enjoyed a volleyball tournament at Zilker Park to raise funds for our city's abused children. To date, Sigma Epsilon chapter of Kappa Delta at the University of Texas has raised more than $44,000 for the Center for Child Protection.
April 26, 2008 - Austin Cup Invitational Bowling Tournament
Local technology companies will gather for the 8thAnnual Austin Cup Invitational Bowling Tournament in April. Year after year, Austin Cup provides local technology companies with an annual coming-together for friendly competition, family fun, and an opportunity to learn about and support the issues affecting child abuse victims in our community. April 26, 2008 - Super Hero Run
Everyone needs a hero...and abused and neglected children need Super heroes! Don your costume and bring your friends to the 1st Annual Super Hero Run on Saturday, April 26th. The Super Hero 5K Run is part of the Texas Round-Up. The group will meet on the Capitol south lawn at 7:30 a.m. to walk, run, or mosey as a group. Children of all ages, strollers, and wagons are welcomed and encouraged. The event should be finished by 9:30 a.m. All participants will receive a t-shirt and enjoy a post-race celebration and brunch on the Capitol south lawn provided by Chipotle Grill. Come as you are or dress up and join the fun. Prizes will be given for the best costume and the participant who raises the most money for both charities. May 10, 2008 - Austin Aztex Pro Soccer Team Inaugural Match
The Austin Aztex, Austin's first Pro Soccer Team, will play the Houston Leones at their first game on Saturday, May 10, 2008, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Round Rock's Dragon Stadium. August 12, 2008 - Buck Owens Birthday Bash
Music enthusiasts will put on their finest boots and head on over to the 17th Annual Buck Owens Birthday Bash to benefit the Center for Child Protection at the Continental Club. A modest cover charge will treat guests to a vast array of artists performing their renditions of this country music legend's tunes. A sampling of artists who appeared include: Billy Joe Shaver, Monte Warden, Mike Barfield, Jann Browne, Rosie Flores, The Derailers, Bob Holly, Casper Rawls, and Tom Lewis. The event was sponsored by The Austin Chronicle, KVET-FM 98.1, Hotel San Jose, Texas Music Roundup, Music Lab, Texicalli Grille and The Continental Club. Find out more about the event.
December 13, 2008 - 15th Annual Tattoo Benefit
Ever thought of adorning yourself with a beautiful piece of artwork? Now's your chance to get the tattoo or piercing you've always wanted while helping end child abuse in Travis County. March 3, 2007 - Juan's Mexicali Preview Night
Child advocates celebrated the delicious Californian/Mexican cuisine at Juan's Mexicali Cafe, a new restaurant which opened at The Grove at Southpark Meadows in early March. Guests enjoyed a wide array of complimentary appetizers and entrees on March 3rd from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Contributions or gift cards to support the Center for Child Protection were brought by guests interested in helping the Center for Child Protection in its mission to serve child abuse victims.
March 28, 2007 - Dona Emilia's Big Red Reserve Wine & Food Tasting
Dona Emilia's South American Bar & Grill invited guest to sample delicious wine and food on Wednesday, March 28th at 7 p.m. Tickets costed $25 per person. A portion of the proceeds benefited the Kozmetsky Center for Child Protection Capital Campaign.

Fashionable friends enjoyed a happy hour on Thursday, August 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Grand Re-Opening of Collectic Home, LLC. August 24, 2007 - McCormick & Schmick's Pre-Opening Dinner at The Domain
Supporters of the Center enjoyed a private dining experience at the new McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant at The Domain. For a donation of $30 at the door, guests enjoyed a four-course meal from McCormick & Schmick's Signature Menu and gave their attentive waitstaff a final training opportunity before the restaurant officially opened to the public. Dinner seatings were available from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The evening was a benefit for the Center for Child Protection.
September 26, 2007 - Art Preview Party Hosted by FastFrame and the Westlake Gallery
