PlayBingo Continues its Winning Streak for Children
More Than $110,000 Raised in 2008
The 5th Annual PlayBingo Ladies Luncheon was a success with more than 600 ladies in attendance on Saturday, November 1. Organized by the Friends of Christopher Guild, this annual fundraiser netted more than $110,000 for the Center for Child Protection. Once again, PlayBingo was generously presented by Lexus of Austin. Jim Spencer from KXAN News Austin returned to the event accompanied by Ellen McNamara. The celebrity emcees doled out numerous prizes for bingo winners and table drawings. Prizes included a Weekend Night Romace Package from Hilton Austin, an Ultimate 4-course chocolate party for 8 from Viva Chocolato!, and an Honora pearl necklace. PlayBingo Chair Debbie Kern and all the volunteers and sponsors made this an unforgettable afternoon. Guild Hits the Jackpot for Children with PlayBingo
Event Raises $40K More Than Last Year
More than 500 ladies descended on the Hilton Austin on Saturday, October 13th, for the 4th Annual PlayBingo Ladies Luncheon to net approximately $90,000 for the Center for Child Protection. Presented by Lexus of Austin, the annual fundraiser was organized by the Friends of Christopher Guild, the Center's volunteer leadership organization. Women decked out in tiaras, feather boas, and "boo-tiful" hats shopped a fabulous silent auction which included a four-day Jackson Hole Retreat and a blue topaz and diamond pendant donated by Russell Korman. Celebrity emcees Jim Spencer and Michelle Valles from KXAN News Austin led the competitive bingo festivities and gift drawings adding to the excitement. We are grateful to PlayBingo Chair Debbie Kern and all the volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible!

PlayBingo Ladies Luncheon a Success!
The Friends of Christopher Guild raised $53,000 to benefit the Center for Child Protection, through their Third Annual PlayBingo Ladies Luncheon held October 21, 2006. All the money raised will assist victims of child abuse in Travis County. Organized by Chair, Debbie Kern, PlayBingo was held at the Hilton Hotel Downtown and welcomed more than 475 ladies in their finest Bingo playing attire for eight rounds of competitive bingo, fabulous prizes, and a glittering silent auction. KXAN News 36 Weathercaster Jim Spencer and News Anchor Michelle Valles kept the Bingo numbers rolling throughout the morning as ladies jubilantly shouted out "Bingo" to win prizes.
