NFL Alumni Golf Classic & Caring for Kids Banquet
KB Home, the Austin NFL Alumni and Lexus Champions for Charity presented a spectacular day of golf, benefiting the Center for Child Protection on Friday, June 19, 2009, at The Hills Country Club. The tournament featured four-person teams, each captained by a former NFL Player. Teams competed on the Signature Course in a scramble format with adjusted handicapping, followed by an alternate shot, sudden death playoff, to win a trip to the 2010 NFL Alumni Super Bowl of Golf.

· 1st Place – Lexus of Austin Team 3 : Steve Wedderburn Sr., Jeannie Moore, Glen Moore, Dan Ahearn and NFL Alumnus Boone Powell
· 2nd Place – Rainmaker – Jarrel Maurice, Karen Rutledge, Thomas Rutledge, John Fink and NFL Alumnus Rayfield Wright
· 3rd Place Tie – Terrazzo & Marble Supply : Jody Rotundo, Rick Serrano, Gary Miller, Steve Brown and NFL Alumnus Kerry Cash
· 3rd Place Tie- Lexus of Austin Team 2 : Maxine Roberts, Bill Linder, Mack Massey, Terri Massey and NFL Alumnus Al Matthews
The Caring for Kids Banquet, sponsored by Lexus of Austin, kicked off the tournament in exciting fashion on Thursday, June 18, 2009. The banquet was held at the Texas Disposal Systems Exotic Game Ranch and Pavilion. This event provided guests an opportunity to rub shoulders with NFL Alumni legends and participate in both silent and live auctions. The Austin Chapter of the NFL Alumni also honored their "Man of the Year" - Frank Denius. To close out the evening festivities, golfers "drafted" their NFL Alumni team captains for the tournament.
