April 3, 2008 - Guardian Angel Society Reception
Find out more about the Guardian Angel Society at the Fifth Annual Guardian Angel Society Event to be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the home of Mary and Bob Wilbur. This invitation-only event gives Center supporters the opportunity to introduce their friends and neighbors to the important work that the Center for Child Protection does on behalf of children. Attendees learn how to get involved to assist abused and neglected children and how they can help stop the destructive cycle of abuse in our community. June 19-20, 2008 - Caring for Kids Banquet and NFL Alumni Golf Classic
The 6th Annual NFL Alumni Golf Classic sponsored by KB Home will be held June 19-20, 2008. Held the evening before the golf tournament, the Caring for Kids Banquet sponsored by Lexus of Austin will feature the chance for the golfers and sports enthusiasts to meet their NFL heroes and pick up some fabulous items at the silent and live auctions. The NFL Alumni Austin Chapter will also honor Roosevelt Leaks as their "Man of the Year." The following morning features a spectacular day of golf at The Hills Country Club. Four-member teams captained by an NFL Alumnus compete for the ultimate prize—representing the Austin NFL alumni at the 2009 Super Bowl of Golf Tournament. September 6, 2008 - The Domain PlayBingo Shopping Extravaganza
Presented by the Friends of Christopher Guild and Lexus of Austin, The Domain PlayBingo Shopping Extravaganza will offer the unique opportunity to shop for the cause of abused children. Participating stores at The Domain will again be listed on a customized “Bingo Card” to be purchased for $25. Armed with a Bingo Card, shoppers will visit participating stores for a chance to win an item from each store valued at $500 or more. Each shopper will receive a mark on their Bingo Card for every store they visit. After “blacking out” the card, shoppers will be eligible for a grand prize drawing to receive a $1,500 Simon Giftcard® from The Domain. The more Bingo Cards shoppers purchase, the more opportunities they have to win. Shoppers are allowed to purchase and play as many cards as they wish with all of the proceeds from the sale of the card going to the Center for Child Protection. September-December 2008 - 17th Annual Luxury Car Giveaway
The Friends of Christopher Guild will hold a drawing for the 17th Annual Luxury Car Giveaway to help abused children. The top prize will be a 2009 Lexus RX 400h Hybrid Luxury Utility Vehicle (LUV). Tickets are $100 each with only 2,000 available for purchase. The second prize will be a $2,500 Simon Mall GiftCard, and third prize will be two round-trip airline tickets on Continental Airlines to any destination in the Continental U.S., Canada, or Mexico sponsored by Tramex Travel. Winners must be at least 18 years old and do not have to be present for the drawing. The drawing will again be held at the Dancing With the Austin Stars. Find out who won in 2007 here!

November 1, 2008 - PlayBingo Ladies Luncheon
PlayBingo is organized by the Center’s Friends of Christopher Guild and presented by Lexus of Austin. PlayBingo will invite ladies of all ages to enjoy rounds of competitive bingo, extraordinary prizes, and a delightful silent auction from 10 am - 1:30 p.m. Ladies will bring their girlfriends and their tiaras to enjoy an afternoon of raising money to help children in need. December 7, 2008 - Dancing With the Austin Stars
The inaugural year of Dancing with the Austin Stars presented by Lexus of Austin took place Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the Hilton Austin from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. The event featured Austin celebrities paired with professional dancers for a performance to be enjoyed by all! The event also featured a silent auction with exclusive parties from the area’s finest restaurants and gingerbread houses, semi-live auction, live auction, a raffle drawing for a Hybrid Lexus LUV, and a dance.
